We are thrilled to announce our Summer 2017 shows...
We would like to thank Jessica Spitz for making the Triple Threat Program better every year since she started as director three years ago. This summer she will be starting her graduate degree & will  unfortunately be unable to join us.
We are excited to announce that Suzie Dunn will be directing this summer.
Suzie Dunn, Director – (BFA Theatre, MA Elementary Education) Acting teacher for over 20 years all over NYS. Taught for NYCBOE for 7 years. Part of the writing team fo
...r the NYC Blueprint for the arts and later the NYS standards for the arts. Co-founder of The Cue Theatre, in Albany. Has written “Cue The Classroom” a curriculum that was launched in Albany City School District in 2014. Has directed over 50 musicals/plays. Has acted all over New York State. Some past credits include: Twelfth Night (The Public Theatre), A Christmas Carol (Theatre Three) You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Steamer No.10 Theatre) just to name a few.
Jessica would like to thank everyone for their support of the Triple Threat Program and POTR and knows everyone will have a wonderful summer with Suzie Dunn!

    Auditions/try outs are a difficult aspect of theatre, music and sports. We ask that you respect the committee's decision on casting. We will not be entertaining any questions or concerns as to the committee's decision. We use a committee to make sure the decision is as fair as possible. It is not the choice of one individual, it is the choice of the committee as to who is cast in each role. We understand that everyone would like to be the star, but there can be only one Dorothy and only one Scarecrow. We also understand that students may be upset with the role that they are cast in, please prepare them as this may be a possibility. We would like everyone to be a part of this incredible theatrical experience, however, if you feel your child cannot handle not being the lead role, we ask that you kindly let us know via email with just a one statement response stating that your child will no longer be continuing with the show so that we can recast their role. Thank you for your understanding with this matter.

Productions Over the Rainbow, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation. Our mission is to provide a safe, educational, positive and fun venue for "children of all ages" to pursue their passion in the arts through the efforts and abilities of a knowledgeable, talented and caring staff. Our program is designed to encourage students in the performing arts to develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically and theatrically. Respect of self, team and production will be fostered at all audition, rehearsal and performance times. We will offer possibilities for all interests and abilities levels including, but not limited to the special needs population. The process is equal to or more important than the product.
